Sarnia-Lambton is a "Designated Safe Community". Our goal is to reduce the devastating pain, suffering and economic burden of injury to our citizens of all ages. In October 1997, Sarnia-Lambton was designated as the 9th Safe Community in Canada.

Safe Communities Sarnia-Lambton was nominated for the Non Profit award for the Sarnia 2018 OBAA ceremonies which took place on Friday October 12, 2018. The non profit award is to recognize and reward excellence and innovation among non-profit organizations resulting in significant social impact within and external to the Sarnia-Lambton community. Although we did not win the award, we were honored to receive this nomination.
